I can vouch for South Korea being cheap! The danger of which is that you end up eating and drinking and shopping so much that you’ll blow through your budget anyway simply because each item is SO captivatingly cheap!

I 100% agree with you that it is easy to travel Korea on a budget. People often think of Korea as an expensive country, but it really isn’t! It is so easy to travel throughout Korea and see all the highlights on a budget. There are so many free things to see, and the paid sights are inexpensive! As you said, you are able to enter Gyeongbokgung Palace for only $3! I love buying the palace pass for less than $10 and having access to the four main palaces in Seoul as well as Jongmyo Shrine. It is an unbeatable deal.

I think these places are cheap for developed countries. People from India can’t afford to travel to Peru, Portugal and South Korea so easily. Air tickets are freaking expensive.
