I can vouch for South Korea being cheap! The danger of which is that you end up eating and drinking and shopping so much that you’ll blow through your budget anyway simply because each item is SO captivatingly cheap!

I find this post incredibly helpful. I’ve never been to Iceland but feel like I know what to expect. I have heard more than one person say that Reykjavik is not worth staying more than a day, which surprises me!

Have you also done the orangutan tours in Kalimantan, the Indonesian side of Borneo? I’m wondering how they compare? Are the ones on the Malaysian side very touristy, or pretty natural?

We’re going to be back in that region soon, so I was wondering whether it was worth doing both sides?

In reply to Dorothee. Add up the legs you want to take. Put in the stops. And maybe 2 hours for every sightseeing spot. Add 20% of traffic. Add 1 night stay at a hotel every 18 hours. That’s it.
